Story
Let me introduce you to Keith Barrell, a trained sculptor and life-long Art educator and in 2010 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Keith's love of Art (www.kbarts.co.uk) in all its forms help him cope with his dementia.
In celebration of his career and life in Art we have arranged an Art Exhibition of Keith’s work at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent from 4 – 27 June 2013 (Direction from www.kent.gov.uk). On display will be some older, well loved pieces together with some new experimental works of art.
The exhibition not only hopes to bring art to the community to enjoy, but also highlight the effects of Alzheimer’s on those who have the illness and that art, as a form of therapy can help make every day count for someone with Alzheimer’s.
Pomegranate - An original box canvas picture (50cm x 50cm) will be on offer as a raffle prize with all the money raised being donated to the Alzheimer’s Society for their research projects and care of those who suffer from Alzheimer’s.
We will allocate a raffle ticket for each pound (£) you donate towards winning the original work of Art. Please ensure that you allow us to see your email address so we can contact you if successful. (Your email address will not be used for any other purpose by us)
