Keian's Smartypants Abseil for cancer research page

Smartypants Abseil for cancer research · 26 February 2014 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! My name is Keian (pronounced "Key-yun") and I am fundraising for the Smartypants campaign as I want to make a difference!
My grandmother passed away from cancer last September. Whilst it was incredibly upsetting, I am glad that treatments were available so that she did not suffer. It is only due to the fantastic work of cancer research charities such as AICR that such treatments are available.
To show my true commitment to supporting this cause I will be shaving my head, as well as abseiling down the scarily high 200ft descent of the Avon Gorge!
I truly believe that one day we will beat cancer. And we will do so together. Please donate as much as you can. Thank you :)
Cancer affects all of us.
1 in 4 of all deaths in the UK are due to cancer.
You may know someone who has cancer. You may know someone who has passed away due to cancer. You may even know someone who has beaten cancer.
But no matter how cancer affects you, you can make a difference.
Cancer research is making progress. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years. Yet with so many lives still being devastated by cancer, more research is needed.
By donating, you can help fund this research. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help contribute to further research into conquering cancer.
You can make a difference.
