25 team members will be cycling 52 miles from Brecon - Cardiff, hoping to raise £1000 which will be donated to Friends of Pedal Power. 

Friends of Pedal Power was set up -

- For the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants
of Cardiff both disabled and able bodied.

- To extend the project to children and adults with disabilities

- To support an existing cycling project for adults with a learning disability.

Many people with disabilities are unable to walk long distances and enjoy the surrounding countryside.  Cycling – either with another person, or independently on a specialised bike allows individuals to travel further afield, and enjoy the gardens in Bute Park and the surrounding areas of the Taff Trail.

The charity encourages and facilitates individuals to be able to either cycle independently, or with a partner and so enjoy the thrill of cycling and the pleasure of exploring and appreciating the wildlife in the area.
