Story
Hello
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my Kilimanjaro climb fundraising page.
Some friends and I have decided it’s time for a new challenge and signed up to climb Africa’s largest mountain.
It is a challenge I have had my eye on for some time and am happy/terrified that I have finally taken courage and signed up. The challenge itself is daunting enough, but we have also decided to do it for charity and have a fundraising target as steep as the mountain itself to raise in only 4 months. Clearly we don’t do things by halves and are not ones to make life easy it seems! :o)
I have decided to fundraise for Teenage Cancer Trust, an amazing charity that I have worked for the last 4.5 years and one that is really close to my heart.
Teenage years are fun and challenging for most – change/transition, exams, parties, your first kiss, spots etc – but throwing cancer into the mix is really hard for most to imagine. Cancer is shocking and extremely difficult at the best of times let alone at a time in your life when you are meant to be having fun.
Teenage Cancer Trust is a brilliant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young adults with cancer. They are dedicated to giving teenagers and young people with cancer the best possible quality of life and chances of survival, and without them there would be little or no specialist care for teenagers with cancer in the UK.
I know times are hard but it would be amazing if you could dig deep and sponsor me on this challenge – I really appreciate every penny and I know that it will make a very real difference to the lives of young people living with cancer.
Thank you
