Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My husband has kindly bought me a skydive. This is something I have always wanted to do but since I'm crazy enough to jump out of a plane I thought I might as well raise some money for a local charity whilst I'm at it! 

My reason for choosing Homestart is because ever since moving to Wrexham in 2018, Homestart have been great to my family. We moved to the area 3 weeks before my daughter was born and didn't have any support or family living locally. When my husband returned to work I started to look for things to do with my little girl and for reasons to get out of the house during the day. Homestart allowed me to complete a free 'Baby Massage' course and 'Baby First Aid' course. Homestart also kept me sane by making sure I got out of the house for their 'Family Learning Group' every week where I was able to meet other parents with young children and have an adult conversation whilst playing with my little girl (particularly when my husband was working a 14hour shift that day)! The group helped my daughter become a confident, social little girl and she settled into nursery almost immediately when I went back to work when she was 10months old. 

The work that Homestart Wrexham do with other local families is incredible. The staff also help parents and children who have additional needs, physical disabilities, mental health issues and/or financial difficulties. Homestart Wrexham is also supported by lovely volunteers who provide invaluable support to the parents and children who use the service. 

Unfortunately, I'm not lucky enough to be skydiving with Ryan Reynolds but you never know...with the help of social media he might see it and it might lead to a donation for this brilliant charity! If you have a couple of quid spare please donate and also share this page! 😊 ❤

**UPDATE 5TH APRIL 2022** - I have been told by Homestart Wrexham that the money is likely to be used to pay for a trip/day out for the children and parents who are supported by them. They don't currently have any funding for this!

I've received a text from the company I'm jumping with to say the weather is 'uncertain' for tomorrow but they will update me at 4pm to let me know if my jump will go ahead.
