Story
I am taking the plunge and removing my hair for Macmillan because I believe in what they do for cancer suffers and their families. They come in the darkest hours of need in the most graceful manner and give to some a light and a way through. Macmillan was supported by our friend Kay booker and I would like to honour her memory by giving to her preferred charity. We as a family have been touched by cancer over the past couple of years and we have lost friends and family which has caused great sadness. Others in my life much loved and admired like my mother and father have been lucky and remain well and in great care under constant care of amazing cancer doctors and nurses. I thank God and the sprits alike for that everyday. This is my way of saying up yours to cancer and thank you to Macmillan. The hair that is removed with be given to the Little Princess Trust. This is a children’s cancer charity their mission is to supply real-hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment. However, in addition they assist children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia. Little Princess Trust are a small charity who receive no formal funding. They rely solely on the generosity of kind supporters like you either to fundraise or to make a donation. Any contribution to the cost of the wigs is very gratefully received.
