Story
Our dearest Mum and Nannie passed away in the very early hours of Friday 22nd February, 2013 at the age of 88. She leaves behind two children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren - who all love her very much and will remember her forever.
On 22nd March we will all be together to remember her and say our final farewells. We kindly ask that instead of sending flowers, people might like to make a small donation to support the work of The Alzheimer's Society. Erika spent the past eight years suffering from this cruel disease and we know she would be happy and proud if we were able to join together and make a donation in her name.
She was very fond of writing little notes and this one we just found written out in her own distinctive hand seems very fitting:
"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now, let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."
So with that in mind you may wish to donate to this very good cause - the sooner we find a cure, the better for us all.
Thank you for your kind thoughts at this time and we hope to see you on 22nd to celebrate Erika's life and share some happy memories together.
Best wishes and love from Erika's family
