Story
On the 31st March 2014, we will attempt Leeds RAG Jailbreak to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. Our seemingly impossible challenge is to escape from Leeds, getting as far away as possible in only 36 hours. However, adding to this already difficult task, we are not allowed to spend a single penny of our own money on transport.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is an extremely worthy recipient of the money we raise for what will inevitbably be an exhillarating, emotional and exhausting 36 hours.
The money we donate will help Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity reach its goal of raising £50 million every year, helping them to "remain at the forefront of paediatric medicine".Of the £50 million:
- 54% goes towards redevelopment
- 27% towards research
- 11% towards medical equipment and capital schemes
- 8% on patient and staff welfare
Neither of us have attempted anything like this before and so any support given will be more than appreciated. We have giant footsteps to fill as other students from around the country have managed to reach destinations as far reaching as Sydney, New York and Dubai!
Be assured, none of your money will be used for our jet-setting, it is purely down to our powers of persuasion!
