Event: Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2024, on 4 May 2024
We promote understanding to campaign for change, influencing policy

Story

In May 2024, I will complete my second ultra marathon. It’s only 54km  (last time it was 100km) but this time I am challenging myself to run/walk the distance.

I will join my nutty friend Tanya on day two of the challenge. She is doing the whole thing!

This year, I have chosen British Dyslexia Association for my charity. This is a wonderful organisation that help promote awareness of dyslexia. They also support parents, businesses and schools to better understand dyslexia.  This hidden disability can cause so much frustration and anxiety and if not well supported, leads to people missing out on reaching their full potential. The BDA actively promotes the positive side of dyslexia as well as supporting those who have been diagnosed to get the best help and support so they can go on to achieve their dreams.
