Story
Water Love - Singing Fundraiser
Join us on Saturday 23rd July, 2-5pm
at Hoodoos, Matthews Yard, Croydon, CR0 1FF for a wonderful songful celebration in aid of WaterAid.
Performances from: Tradewinds Choir, The London Lucumi Choir and Creative Croydon plus performances from Anima and The Helen Chadwick Trio.
It only costs £15 to give one person access to clean water for life with WaterAid's projects in some of the world's poorest communities, so every penny makes a difference. The funds raised by this event will support WaterAid projects in Ghana.
Sing for Water was initiated by composer Helen Chadwick as a project to raise money for WaterAid at The Thames Festival. Since it's inauguration in 2000 this project has raised over £700,000 for WaterAid's life-saving projects providing clean water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. www.singforwater.org
About Katie: Being part of Sing for Water has been a life changing experience for me. Since 2011 I've been part of the Thames Festival and other events, singing and fundraising with choirs from across the UK and beyond. I wanted to use the occasion of my 40th birthday to raise our voices and raise funds for WaterAid. More info at www.therosewindow.org
