Story
I am taking part in a sponsored Ride starting on 8th May 2012. 3 cyclists, 12 horse riders & 2 runners from the New Forest are taking part and attempting to ride 75 miles over Brecon Beacons in just 3 days! We are all paying for our own expenses during this time.
All the money raised with go to The Braintrust Charity on behalf of "Charlotte's I Believe I Can Fund of Hope".
Charlotte was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in May 2007, four days after her 16th Birthday. Sadly, Charlotte lost her battle against this wicked disease on the 21st April 2008 - exactly one month before her 17th Birthday.
The Fund of Hope is raising money to support the Brain Tumour Tissue Bank (funded by The Braintrust Charity). It will be the first of its kind to act as a repository of clinical information for all scientific, academic and commercial reseachers across the UK. This means that, for the first time, researchers from any organisation, irrespective of location, will be able to directly access tissue to test for sensitivity to chemotherapy, for genetic links and to identify key markers for treatment that will, it is hoped, increase treatment options for future patients.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks for your support!
