Story
My little legs are not hugely fond of pounding the pavements but anyone that knows my sister Georgia will understand why I am running the London Marathon for Arthritis Research UK.
Georgia is 22 years old and wakes up each day in pain, with different limbs swelling up each morning. During bad days, Georgia is unable to bend her elbows in order to do her own hair or get herself dressed properly. Her shoe collection is gathering dust as her feet and toes are constantly swollen and she is on so many tablets that she developed a stomach ulcer.
Georgia has had an awful year, filled with limping, doctors visits, chucking up, blood tests, weekly self administered injections and trying a number of different drugs - she just gets on with it.
I am hoping to raise money for this charity to help fund research into the disease, so that they can find a cure for this horrible disease, so that my sister (and others affected) can wake up pain free and lead normal lives.
I am also prepared to inflict swollen joints and achey muscles on myself for this cause, to show Georgia how proud of her I am.
