At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving  page  for the Wesham Memory Walk.

My darling dad passed away January this year suffering from Dementia.

I actually lost the dad I adored back in 2005 when this awful disease took its hold through a stroke. He was a methodical man with a solution for any trouble you ever had and nothing was ever as bad as it seemed when you had spoke to him. Even whilst with the dementia you could still speak to him and he'd listen trying to give you the best advice possible.

A wonderful man who didn't retire until the stroke of 2005 and then he was 77!! My hero who I miss every day.

Dementia is an awful disease and I am just trying to do my little bit to help others, so your sponsorship does help as dementia and Alzheimer's requires lots more research.

Thank you for reading- I don't often where my heart on my sleeve but this is very close to my heart.
