Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page raising money for the MND Association, by sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
I have the privilege to meet and work with the most inspirational people every day. Volunteers who give up their own time to dedicate themselves to raise money and help people affected by this truly devastating disease.
MND attacks the nerves, spinal cord and brain, affecting movement, speech, eating and even breathing. MND is fatal, there is no cure and most people die within 2 years of diagnosis.
I witness what MND does to people and their families and like many people feel absolutely compelled to do something. It'll be the hardest thing I've ever done but all those hours of pain are worthwhile if it brings us closer to a world free from MND.
By donating you are helping the MND Association:
- provide care (equipment, quality of life, advice and emotional support) tot means people living with MND and their families
- campaign so that the needs of people with MND are met by wider society
- fund over 80 different research projects to better understand MND and find ways to defeat it
