Story
What
John and I are walking over 55km along the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Hove (very hilly!) on 31 August. We have never done anything like this before and are looking forward to the challenge and raising money for a charity that is so close to our hearts!
Why
My Atopic Eczema became severe around the age of 20, which really affected the quality of my life. I was lucky enough to find an amazing Dermatologist who tried to help me find the right Emolients and Immunosuppressants that would help to reduce my Eczema. Unfortunately, none of them worked in the long-term.
I could explain for ages about how uncomfortable and embarrassed I used to be but in the end I was one of the lucky ones!! In June 2017 (at the age of 25), my Dermatologist put me forward to the Early Access to Medication Scheme for Dupilumab and it has changed my life. So my story is a happy one and I can enjoy myself again.
I want to walk for the National Eczema Society so that they can help improve the quality of life of people with Eczema and help to ease their suffering.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, John and I are very grateful for any donation that you are able to give.
If you have any questions, just ask!
Best wishes,
Kathryn and John :)
