Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As I am sure you have heard I am taking part in the Tri in the Park Triathlon on Saturday 23 July. This event is made up of a 400 m swim, 10k cycle and 2.5k run.
I originally decided to enter this having heard about the event in a fundraising article in the NACC newsletter.
The National Association for Crohn's and Colitis is a charity whose aim is to improve life for people affected by Crohn's and Colitis and I have chosen to try and raise some money for them by partaking in this event.
My husband Dave was first diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he was 16 and 2 of his nephews have also been diagnosed, Russell when he was 17 and Dave (jnr in Oz) when he was 16.
Crohn's and Colitis can strike at any age but are often first diagnosed in the young e.g. 16-29 group. There is no known cure for either condition and I know how the symptons can impact all areas of life.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, if 50 people can each donate £5 I should be able to make my target.
