Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. On Friday 28th April to Sunday 30th April 2017,  I will be leaving behind all my home comforts to spend a weekend in the middle of nowhere!  No communication with my family or the outside world, no electricity, for 2 nights I will be sleeping outdoors and braving the elements and I'm not sure what will be on the menu at meal times!!

The tasks that lie ahead will test me to the limit both physically and mentally and this is the reason that I have decided to do this challenge. Steve was a true inspiration, when he was battling illness he pushed himself to do some of the most gruelling challenges and raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process.  Steve left us with some amazing memories both as a rugby league player, as a fundraiser but most of all as a lovely person.  So in Steve's memory I will be raising money for the Steve Prescott Foundation as I come completely out of my comfort zone and enter the unknown for a weekend.

In the words of the Great Man - a challenge isn't a challenge unless its challenging.

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
