Story
Hi all,
Just to let you know that this page is open for one more week for donations. Thanks to all for supporting me in my run. My time was 1:57:48. Not too shabby for a first timer! And I had a loo break!
It doesn't end here though. I am continuing to run, race and train and being part of a running club (Bungay Black Dogs) really helps keep me going too. I have entered another half marathon in Ipswich in September. I am really enjoing the challenge of running and I'm excited that I have found something new that I love. Even if it is disguised as exercise!
I have raised over my target, which I am also really pleased about. And my beautiful aunt got the all clear earlier this year.
I hope this has inspired some of you to either raise some money for a good cause, to start running, walking or even just to get out there and try something new!
Bye for now!
Lots of love,
Kathleen x

Hey Everyone! Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
I'm running in the Edinburgh Half Marathon on 27th May 2012. It's the first time I've run this distance and just to fuel the challenge, I'm raising money to help a charity that's important to my family and me. My aunt has worked in her local charity shop as a volunteer with Cancer Research UK for the last six years. Late last year, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It has been a tough time for all but she has been fortunate enough to come through winning with her smile, her ever-positive outlook and frank yet elegant courage. She is an inspiration to me personally and to everyone who knows her.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Cancer Research UK and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I hope you can give something towards my efforts to run this race, which in turn will be giving something towards Cancer Research UK’s efforts to fund their very important research into an illness that effects so many people we know.
