Story
Just over a year ago I went on my first ever painting holiday. I painted my first portrait while I was there. It was only a sketch, but I greatly enjoyed painting it!
This summer, I was looking forward to another painting holiday. The pandemic put a stop to that. And I know I’ll never get the paints out at home without an incentive, even in lockdown.
Now I’ve found the incentive: ‘Summer of Hope’ - CAFOD’s challenge to transform something we’ll miss this summer into a sign of hope by raising money for their Coronavirus appeal.
So, if you’ve always wondered what it would be like to have your portrait done, this is your chance!
Donate to CAFOD on this page any time before 9 June and your name will go into a hat. The winner can either ‘sit’ (via Zoom, obviously) or supply a good photo. I will mail you the finished portrait when it dries.
If you are not quite brave enough for that, you can always supply a photo of someone else!
However much or little you can give, thank you for supporting some of the poorest communities in the world as they face their own struggle through this pandemic. God bless you! Kathleen
