Story

As most of you will know in March this year my Dad fell down stairs at home and sustained massive head injuries. For a long time he was in a coma and we weren't sure if he was going to survive or how life would be if he did survive.

On one of the many occasions me and my fantastic family spent standing around at Newcastle General Hospital I remember seeing a poster for Headway and the fantastic work they do for people and families who survive brain injuries. I remember thinking at the time that to say thank you for my dad's survival and amazing recovery I would like to do something for them.

I realise it isn't long since I asked everyone to give generously towards the Brinsworth 10k. however I just decided to run the Great North Run last Sunday (having only run 7 miles this year!!!) and couldn't do it without showing my gratitude and admiration for everyone who made the above photo possible. Hope you'll excuse me for being a pest therefore and give generously to some amazing people.
