The Myton Hospice in Warwick made a hugely positive impact on the last two weeks of my mum's life. She was so well looked after there, her symptoms were well managed, she was treated with dignity and sensitivity, and she felt safe, secure and peaceful. Every one of the staff made a difference, and this gave us the opportunity to focus on mum rather than the care she needed in those last few days. While she was in Myton we talked about how I planned to do something to give back a little to help other people in the future, and she was very enthusiastic about this. So in addition to a family contribution which will be made, I have a few other plans for how I can raise money including a sale of Cosmos plants I've grown.

We all feel mum's loss very keenly, and my little girls in particular are very much missing their grandmother. It is a wonderful tribute to my mum for the girls to see that we can do something positive to help other people in her memory.
