Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Kath (Mum) sadly died on the morning of Thursday 5th May 2011, in Accident and Emergency at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 2010 and had a short battle since then, but right up to the end was in good spirits and optimistic.
It seems fitting that Kath should pass away on election day and having cast her vote already by postal ballot. She would have been very pleased with the results in Manchester.
We do not want any flowers or other gifts of condolence, but are happy for donations instead to go to Friends of Ghyll Head, which was a cause very close to her heart. Friends of Ghyll Head raises funds to enable young people from Manchester, regardless of physical ability, to access courses at Ghyll Head.
