Kilimangaro Trek 2011 · 22 September 2011

We raise money for research, care & support to help cancer patients get the best care.

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It is really appreciated.

On 22nd September 2011, me and my sister Vicky will be trekking up the slopes of Kilimanjaro. For 7 days we will sleep, eat and trek on the mountain, before reaching the summit on 29th. We are doing this challenge to raise money for Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, an organisation very close to our hearts. Clatterbridge is one of the largest specialist NHS cancer centres in the UK, aiming to provide world class cancer care to patients. Not only do they provide excellent care for those who are suffering from the effects of cancer, they also fund important research into the disease.

With over 298,000 new cases of cancer being diagnosed in the UK each year, research is crucial in the development of treatments, and with more than 1 in 3 of us developing cancer in our lifetime it is something that affects us all.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
