On March 18th I will be heading off to the Arctic circle in Norway to participate in a 200km sledging expedition with the help and responsibility of my own team of 4 huskies. We will be travelling 30-70km per day over five days across the frozen wilderness with temperatures reaching as low as -30oc due to wind chill. As we travel across the hostile environment, we will have to provide for ourselves with supplies and belongings (or lack of!) carried with us, water obtained from boring into frozen lakes and wood collected for heating!

 

This challange is all in aid of good cause, with all the money raised going to the Make-a-Wish foundation. This foundation grants wishes to children and young people between the ages of 3-17 who are fighting life threatning illnesses. At the present time, 75 wishes a month are granted, but by the end of 2012 they want to make this 85 wishes. I would like to help make this happen. Any donation, no matter how big or small will go someway to helping make a families dream come true.
