The Cancer Centre is a cause very close to my heart. During the few months I spent working there, I met some truly amazing people, both staff and patients, and learnt a lot about life. I owe a lot to the Cancer Centre for this unique opportunity, and hope that my fundraising effort will make a significant difference.

I greatly valued the many inspiring conversations I had with patients at the Cancer Centre, and to say that my experience was life-changing would be no exaggeration. I now approach every day with a renewed zest for life and spirit of adventure, embracing every challenge and opportunity.

I was particularly moved by the story of bone cancer patient Alex Lewis, who sadly passed away days after his 22nd birthday whilst I was working at the Cancer Centre. A beautiful and inspiring documentary was made about Alex's life and shown on the BBC. It can be viewed on YouTube as follows, and I strongly recommend that you watch it:
