Story

Together with Bernie Hollywood, I'm co-leading a team of 30 colleagues from Lloyds Banking Group, on a once-in-a-lifetime trek to climb Mount Kilimanjaro from 1-10 October 2011.

This fantastic challenge will raise funds for Save the Children, Lloyds Banking Group's Charity of the Year.  Our objective is to raise £100,000, which will pay for three FAST programmes across the UK.

Save the Children’s UK Project, Families and Schools Together (FAST), is an award-winning project that supports parents to improve their children's learning and development at home, so they can reach their full potential at school.

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and reaches 5,895m at its peak and is a six day expedition.  This is a serious challenge but I am really excited about taking part and privileged to be co-leading our team of 30 on behalf of Lloyds Banking Group.

Each of us has to raise £4000.00 in order to take part and I'd really appreciate your help in sponsoring me. I know that you will receive lots of requests of this nature so please give what you can afford.  Your sponsorship will be invaluable to help us reach our fundraising target.

Your generosity is very much appreciated and will provide an invisible helping hand during what promises to be a tough but unforgettable experience!
