Story
As some of you will know, my two beautiful girls (Tabitha and Gizzy) mean the world to me, and if there is anything I can do to help their feline friends and family then I will. I am also quite a lazy so-and-so but after taking part in a walking challenge at the beginning of 2023 with my husband Rich and achieving 1.5 million steps in 100 days I have really started to find walking and rambling to be quite a fun way to spend my time. Because of this I have decided to fundraise for Cats Protection UK by exploring the towering mountains of the island of Madagascar in October 2024.Over the course of 12 days I will spend 5 days trekking through the Andringitra National Park and will attempt to summit the island’s second-highest peak Pic Boby and neighboring Chameleon Peak.
In preparation for this, I am challenging myself with a variety of walking and cycling activities.
* Walked 1,357,000 steps (660 miles) in 100 days between the 2nd of June and the 9th of September 2023.
* The Tour de Broads, a 50 mile bike ride around the Norfolk coast.
* I aimed to walked the equivalent of the End to End Trail which is Land's End to John o' Groats, which 1215 miles between the 7th of October and the 24th of April 2024 (200 days), I completed a total of 1405 miles.
* Climbed the south ridge path of Mount Snowdon in May 2024.
Future challenges:

I've also been selling items on Vinted (thanks mum) and held a massively successful bake sale at work. There are more challenges and fundraising events to come too.
