On the 25th March my Mum was airlifted by Hampshire Air Ambulance to Southampton ICU after a serious road traffic accident. Had the Air Ambulance not been available my Mum would have certainly died. They saved her life that day. 

I never believed I could be a runner. Many times I've tried and only managed to run 3-4 miles. This year I'm turning 40 and want to get as fit as possible. I have challenged myself to run a half marathon. Not as part of an event but all by myself. My Mum would have been very proud to see my progress and, hopefully, when she is more recovered I will be able to tell her what I did. 

The NHS is under threat. Services like the Air Ambulance need our support.
