Story

Climber, swimmer, hiker, SUP-lover, boulderer, trail explorer, traveller, and wild camper, Kate is an adaptive adventure living a life to the full.

A domestic and sexual abuse survivor, Kate has gone on to share her story; of how her experiences have shaped her story, and how the outdoors has saved her life. From an attempt on her life as a young adult, to a diagnosis of Lupus and the day to day impact of living in chronic pain, Kate now talks publicly about how to adapt, overcome and live a life to its fullest, regardless of your barriers.

A motivational and public speaker, talking about her adventures in the UK and beyond, Kate works across the industry and beyond to ensure inclusivity and diversity are key agenda items for all across the outdoors industry.

In 2021, Kate raised £3,000 for Lupus UK, while raising awareness of hidden illnesses by climbing the height of Everest at Kendal Climbing Centre, in one weekend. The challenge nearly broke her.

This time the challenge is even bigger - taking on the cumulative height of the world's three highest mountains,  that's over 80,000 feet, at Kendal Climbing Centre, in one week. Hoping to climb for 10 to 12 hours a day, this challenge will aim to set a world record, raise funds for Langdale Mountain Rescue and awareness for the millions of people living life with disabilities and hidden illness.

This will be the challenge of a lifetime, one that will push Kate, her body and her mind to breaking point.
