Story
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. By running the Oxford Half Marathon, I’m hoping to raise £100, which could pay for a Macmillan nurse for 3 hours, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
I am logging the miles I am running this year to contribute to the Boots overall target of 393,000 miles over the course of the year. With someone receiving a diagnosis on average every 90 seconds, that’s one mile for every person diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK.
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
