Story
Last July we experienced the worst pain possible when Thomas died. So not being a runner, other than running around after the girls, I crazily decided to run the London Marathon. I wanted to show the girls we can still do things and make Daddy proud. Thomas would be so proud of the girls, Siobhan competing internationally for Team GB & Millie for performing in her dance show. He would also be so proud of the support they give me every day and with my training; they both missed their own events & got up early to take part in the Wokingham mini mile so I could do the half marathon as training and then both winning trophies for being the first female girl in their age category!!
In running the marathon I’d like to raise some money as a thank you to an amazing charity, Simon Says. Simon Says is a local child bereavement support group that has helped support our beautiful, strong girls through this horrible time. The girls were reluctant to go at first but both look forward to the monthly sessions and wouldn’t miss them. The charity is local & fundraising is really important for them, and the support they have given us as a family is amazing, so please, any donation is really appreciated.
Thank you,
Karen, Siobhan & Millie x
