Walk in her shoes, 4 March 2013
We at CARE International, fight poverty to help the world’s most vulnerable people.

Story

I'm walking 10,000 steps a day, 4-10 March in solidarity with girls like Ayanna from Ethiopia who is just 14 years old, yet walks a shocking 22 km every day to fetch water – that's more than half a marathon every day. It means she has little time for school and cannot fulfil her potential. Your support can help to change this.

Please sponsor me.  This could help to build wells, boreholes and standing taps close to women and girls' homes, allowing them more time to go to school or work. It will also help to build a borehole in Ayanna's community, reducing her gruelling daily walk.

Thank you - Karen
