Story
On 30th August 2015, 12 boats left London to embark on an 11 month circumnavigation of the globe, crewed by non-professional sailors. In April 2016, I’m joining Team LMAX Exchange for 2 months on the Seattle to New York leg of the Clipper Round the World race – 5,400NM of living life at 45 degrees, making the simplest of tasks quite challenging. Home comforts, like daily showers, more than 4 hours continuous sleep and a decent cup of tea will be non-existent.
To support both my team mates during their punishing sail and to do something additional to try and raise more money for Unicef, during the 9 months of the race whilst I am not sailing, I’m going to run and run and run… until I get to 5,400km (around 20km a day) That’s the equivalent of just under 128 marathons). It will take about 2 hours a day.
That’s what I’m giving to help support Unicef – please give what you can. THANK YOU SO MUCH
