Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've always liked the idea of doing a skydive but never quite got round to it. Then out one night with friends I mentioned it and Janet said she wouldn't mind either. Although we had both had one or three glasses of vino when we decided to do it we haven't backed out and here we are signed up, ready to go and asking for your support and money.
We decided on a charity that helped those with cancer and their families. There are so few people who's lives haven't been touched in some way by cancer. I'm jumping in memory of my exceptional mum, Carol, but please visit my team mate Janet's page to see her story and you'll see exactly why we decided to support Clic Sargent, a childhood cancer charity.
Those people who I've mentioned this to are divided - are we brave, or stupid? Whichever you decide we are (and we don't mind there's a very thin line between the two) please just think of the expression on my face as I leave that plane and give generously - I promise donating to such a good cause will give you that 'feel good factor' all day long!
I do need to thank my boss Steve Rawlins and the company I work for, Anglia Components, for kindly donating the cost of the jump (£200). This is a fantastic gesture although the enthusiasm that Steve showed when I said what I was doing and why makes me think the donation is so I can't back out!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
