Story
Beth, Charlotte and I are taking on the MacMillan Mighty Hikes 13 mile challenge.
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in March 2019, the day after I had ironically run a half marathon. I felt absolutely fine. From that lonely moment of diagnosis, I was introduced to Wendy, my MacMillan nurse who has held my hand throughout the whole process. June 2020, I had my third operation but this time the tumour was benign. Last year I had various treatment for skin cancers, the last of which (hopefully) was recently removed at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and again have been helped by Rachel, a MacMillan nurse. These amazing charities have lost such a lot of revenue during the Pandemic so Beth, Charlotte and I are doing this lovely challenge to raise some funds for them to say thank you. I'm actually looking forward to spending a few quality hours with my girls walking in our beautiful countrywide (totally sun-creamed up obviously!) at the end of July. Thanks for reading my story.
