Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 3rd November I will be taking on my biggest challenge of 2019 & running the Cornish Marathon in support of The Benjamin Pritchard Foundation.
A fit & healthy football mad 7 year old, Ben fell ill & was diagnosed with DIPG, a very rare & aggressive Brain Tumour in May 2017. The Tumour was incurable & inoperable and at best, he would have 10 months to live. Ben died on the 6th November 2017 at Charlton Farm, Children’s Hospice South West, 6 months after his diagnosis.
Ben’s parents, Sarah & Shane, set up The Benjamin Pritchard Foundation to enhance bereavement support & services to help families that have lost a child.
Providing holistic support for parents, siblings & families following the death of a child under 18, peer support to families with a terminally ill child receiving end of life care, professionals working in bereavement & end of life care & signpost services & offer advice & information.
Ben was kind, helpful, thoughtful & compassionate, I think we could all be a bit more Ben.
