As many of you will already know, I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in August 2015 which later progressed to stage 4 by January 2016. Following 3 major operations and many cycles of chemotherapy which is ongoing, I’m happy to report, I’m pretty well! 

Throughout this time, my wonderful family and friends have given me the most amazing support and love which has enabled me to find the strength to fight this horrible disease.  In addition to this,  the charity, Beating Bowel Cancer has provided a lifeline to me especially the online forum. Now, I just want to give something back. The charity has recently merged with Bowel Cancer UK and I’m hoping with additional funds, they can go on to do great things! My boys will run the 10k and Gilian and I will walk the 5k on Saturday 26th May.
