We fund medical research to help find a cure for Lupus

Story

Hi, thanks for coming!

I'll keep it short(-ish)... having run a half marathon last year to raise money for Lupus UK, I thought I'd have to go one step better this year and run a full one... erm... albeit in 2 halves, 2 weeks apart!  You've got to work up to these things!

I'd be really grateful for your generosity in sponsoring me to do these 2 runs, in support of this great cause that's very close to my heart.

Systemic lupus is a chronic and incurable illness of the immune system, but due to lack of awareness in the medical profession it can often be overlooked by a GP or consultant, leading to delays in treatment and possible unnecessary and serious damage to vital organs.

Your donation could help Lupus UK in many ways, like providing advice and welfare support to sufferers, raising awareness in the medical and nursing professions, and carrying out vital research with the hope of one day finding a cure.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Whether you donate £2 or £20, every penny helps and would be greatly appreciated by both Lupus UK and me!  Thanks for taking the time to read this and (hopefully) for your generous donation.
