Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Mum, Joan Hampson is currently battling cancer at Queen's Hospital, Romford. If it wasn't for Queen's then chances are the cancer wouldn't have been caught at all as other hospitals missed the diagnosis. We hear a lot of bad thigs about many a hospital but never good and doing this Abseil is my small way of saying thank you to the staff at Queen's for giving her a chance of survival, however small. I am petriefied of heights and as I can't even imagine what Chemo feels like but I hope overcoming my fear will help my Mum overcome her fear of Chemo in some way.
All the money raised will go to BHR Hosptials Charity and more specifically to Oncology at Queen's Hospital. It will be used to ensure that the cancer patients at Queen's receive the best possible care and are made as comfortable as possible during a very difficult time.
So please give what you can because every penny will make a difference to those people going through a similar experience to my Mum.
Thanks,
Karen
