British Heart Foundation, London to Brighton Bike Ride 2019 · 16 June 2019 ·

Thank you to everyone who supports the British Heart Foundation by participating in London to Brighton Bike Ride.

Story

By riding this year's London to Brighton bike ride on June 16 I will be riding in honour of my beautiful husband Chris who, as a fit and life-long sportsman, died so shockingly and suddenly on September 28 2017. He was a big-hearted husband, father, brother and friend - generous to a fault - but his pumping heart let him down when he turned 56.

I will be riding also to raise money for British Heart Foundation to help fund research into heart disease, and particularly what killed Chris, in order to help reduce the risk to others.

And I will ride to create something positive from our devastation by taking part (on Father's Day) with two of our children, Jess and Oliver, and with five other close family - and with my friend and invaluable training buddy, Sarah.
