We help the homeless and people in crisis to enable them to become independent again

Story

John and myself will be running the Wigan 10k on the 11th September in aid of the  Brick anyone who knows me well will know I have never been a runner in the past and I would of struggled to run 100 yards. In February this year I started training and with help from John I run 3, 5ks and got three medals. I have decided to go one bigger and set myself a new challange and do the Wigan 10k. We will be doing this in aid of the local charity the brick. At work the Brick have helped me support lots children in Wigan who are living in poverty so we would like to take this opportunity to show them our support. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Below is some information about the Brick.

Our aim is to eradicate homelessness and poverty in our community. We support homeless people, those facing homelessness, and people experiencing crisis or poverty in the Wigan borough.People who are marginalised by society, who can, with support, become independent and contribute positively to their communities. Services include crisis intervention, housing and health support on behalf of the Council, a foodbank, social and employment training, and wide-ranging volunteering opportunities. We ensure no one in our community gets left behind.
