On Thursday 30th March 2017 at 7pm in Manchester City centre I will be 'Walking on Fire' to raise money for the Christie Hospital.   The Christie helped both me and my sister during our fight with cancer but I know so many people who are still battling with cancer and so many who lost the fight. When I visit the Christie as an outpatient, I am always overwhelmed by how many people they look after. So many sufferers at various stages, some with hair and some wearing scarves and those who look too weak to even stand, it’s heart breaking. The staff at the Christie are amazing and patients always feel valued and supported. The holistic therapy team helps those affected by cancer to escape through a range of treatments to boost their morale. The increase in cancer sufferers is frightening and the Christie need fundraising to ensure they can meet the need of everyone who visits.
