Story
My name is Kacper Kubicki and I'm 8 years old.
I was born on 24th June 2014. When I was in my mummy's tummy, the doctors diagnosed me with Costello Syndrome. All the doctors in the team were trying to convice my mum to terminate the pregnancy but my mummy is a strong fighter and a big hero, mummy decided to bring me into my wonderful family. I was born with lots of medical complications includong: Costello Syndrome, the need for a Nasogastric tube (when I was a newborn), risks fron an Ectopic beat, Bronchiolitis, Cerebral ventriculomegaly, significant left side Scoliosis, Chest wall deformity, poor Growth, Rectal bleeding, Gastrostomy placement, Vomiting and Cryptorchidism on the right side. Almost the whole first year of my life I spent in the hospital, but my mum was always with me day and night. Despite my medical condition, I am a happy little boy who loves films, toys and books. My favourites at the moment are PJ Masks, Paw Patrol and Fireman Sam. My wonderful family also includes my 12 year old sister and my 2 year old brother, which means that my loving oarents can't always afford everything that's needed for me.
Last year I had surgery on my legs, which, unfortunately, was not successful so they've given me a referal to a London Hospital. Whilst I'm waiting to be seen by the London doctors, my physiotherapist recommended a disability tricycle to help build up muscle strength in my legs and improve my overall fitness. Unfortunstely, the disability tricycle is not funded by the NHS and costs a lot of money, which my family cannot afford.
Can you please help me raise money for this very much needed trike to improving my mobility strength and really change my everyday life.
