Story
Warwick Jailbreak! 36 hours with no money for transport. How far will we get? That's not the important question.
How much can I raise for Worldwide Cancer Research? I wouldn't want to get stuck in pouring rain, or howling wind for no good reason.
So here's 3 good reasons for you:
- Cancer Research means we have a chance of beating cancer, or improving current treatments
- Worldwide means Reseach 24/7, because cancer doesn't sleep
- Worldwide also means more expertise - cancer knows no borders, so neither should we
The challenge: Dale (justgiving.com/daledowdeswell) and I will be leaving Warwick campus at 10am on Saturday 1st November and trying to get as far away from as we can, without spending any money on our transport! At 10pm on Sunday 2nd November, after numerous ridiculous challenges, loads of fun lifts, and lots of yawning, we will check in one last time to confirm our final destination.
We've done this before. In 2011 we only made it to Dover, and got stuck (but we can blame a three-person team for that). In 2012, we got to Plymouth after changing our plan from getting into France (we'll blame Bournemouth Uni doing the same day for that one)! In 2014, there are no excuses, so let's see how far we can get!
So please, don't let us do this for nothing.
