Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The story - in 2010, after three years at KPMG, our resident Tax Partner, David Elliott, decided it was about time he did something for charity. His suggestion - get as many members of the tax department as possible to take part in the 2010 Children's Cancer Run. His action - delegate all the hard work and organisation to someone else!
We are now running this as a team for the third year in a row, as we all had so much fun the first two times! We are aiming to add another £500 to the £1,800 raised across the previous two years.
Several members of the department willingly (or not in some cases!) have signed up, together with their family members and friends, to run 5 miles across wild countryside in Gosforth. For some of the fitter people among us it may be an easy Sunday morning, for others it's quite a daunting challenge!
A special mention goes to our trainee marathon runner, Liam Murnane, who will attempt to complete the course three times in a row as part of his training for the Edinburgh Marathon a couple of weeks later.
The run takes place on Sunday 13th May and is in aid of the North of England's Children's Cancer Research Fund.. We would like to raise funds for this very worthwhile cause, and appreciate any donations, large or small.
