Story
On the 10th June 2017 members of Wolverhampton Judo Club, myself, together will support from Codsall and the University of Wolverhampton Judo Clubs are taking part in a 12 hour “Throw-a-thon” which involves continual throwing someone for 12 hours to raise money for the Children’s Ward and Cancer Support at the local New Cross Hospital.
Cancer is a word that nobody wants to hear about and I am sure you have been affected in some way either by a relative, friend or yourself that has suffered from a form of cancer.
Five years ago I was diagnosed with Oesophagus Cancer and thanks to the research that had been done over the years and support I received
I am very lucky to be here today. With your help and support one day everyone will survive from Cancer.
Fifty percent of what we raise we would also like to support the Children’s Ward at New Cross Hospital. They are in need of parental chair beds so that parents can stay overnight with their children and be close at hand to provide reassurance as well as be there to help make clinical decisions regarding their child’s care.
The younger members of the club will be supporting by seeing how many throws they can do in one minute as we are aiming to raise £5000 for the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, please donate to help these great causes.
