Le Tour de Balls is back for the third time, 24 riders, 300 miles in 3 days! Supporting Men with Testicular Cancer in the South West

Story

Justin is a Software Engineer from Bristol who loves cycling up hills, hence the name.

His favourite colour is blue, and depends on the day – he will dance to most things – anything from the 80’s/90’s. On tour, not sure he will be eating his favourite, Beef Wellington but whatever it is it will be washed down with a gin and tonic.

So why Le Tour de Balls Trois?

Justin says: “It’s a great local charity I’ve supported for a number of years now, so I’d like to continue.”

My claim to fame?

Shared a Chinese meal across from Ant & Dec in Australia – before being told to clear the restaurant as it was being closed due to rodent infestation!

Thank you, Justin, for taking part in Le Tour de Balls Trois and supporting It’s in the Bag.

The Covid19 Pandemic has not been easy, but Its in the Bag thought now was the time for Le Tour de Balls Trois. Le Tour de Balls Trois will see 20 cyclists ride 300 miles in 3 days from Cerne Abbas to The Globe Frampton Cotterell. Starting on Saturday 30th April and finishing on BH Monday 2nd May. Its in the Bag is a volunteer-run local testicular cancer charity operating in the South West, providing hands-on support for men and their families, as well as raising awareness of the disease across the region and beyond.

It’s in the Bag is run by a group of survivors with support from specialist NHS staff and provide hands-on support for men with testicular cancer (germ cell) in the South-West. We have three simple aims: Support: Being diagnosed with testicular cancer and going through treatment is a huge challenge – physically, mentally and emotionally. We provide a range of activities and initiatives to help men through this tough time. Awareness: We teach men the importance of checking their balls regularly and taking any issues straight to their GP. Spreading this knowledge promotes earlier diagnosis, which often means simpler, more effective treatment and better chances of a cure. Survival: With UK cure rates for testicular cancer running above 98%, we focus on survival helping guys tackle the emotional and practical impact of cancer, both during treatment and into their lives after.
