How could you raise £100, to support the 100+ people diagnosed with MS each week?

Story

After the whole of December my MS challenge is completed and thanks to you I have raised over £800.  Thank you to each and everyone of you it kept me going knowing I was raising money to help and support people who have been recently diagnosed with MS.

20th December 2020

Wow!! 😲
I cannot believe that I only wanted to raise £100 and that people have been as generous as they have been. Mainly though, you’ve all been so encouraging and supportive and that has definitely spurred me on.
Because I’ve actually found it a lot more difficult than I thought I might do and so it’s helped keep me going on those days when I really don’t think I can manage it.
I do get pretty tired and I don’t do too well with coordination going from side to side so having to do that part every day is really testing me!
And that reminded me in a round about the reason why I am doing this,  to raise money to help people facing a new MS diagnosis - people who have no idea what to expect, are worried about what the future holds and what they will or won’t be able to do. And some of them have to face that alone or with nowhere near the amount of support that I have around me from all of you.
How amazing would it be to raise even more? Someone suggested I shoot for £800 and so I’m going to keep going and see if I can get there. I would love to be able to reach that and so if you can spare a few pennies, I would be so over the moon (front to back or side to side!!)

And just as proof and some light entertainment, there is some footage of me doing my thing on my facebook story page, shot by my trusty cameraman and husband Phil.📹

Thanks everyone 🥰

Help me to raise £100 to support the 100+ people diagnosed with MS each week. The money I raise during my mission will ensure that the MS Trust continues to be there for those people from day one, and every day after.

It goes without saying that lockdown has affected us all, and in
very different ways.
For me personally,:

I’ve missed quite a few things. I’ve missed getting out and about and seeing all you lovely lot.

I’ve missed going to work - and whilst working from home has its benefits, I’ve missed my office colleagues, the office banter and the general workplace activity.

I’ve missed being involved with the Terra’s, supporting my team and seeing all the football gang.

I’ve even missed going to slimming world (I mean let’s face it,
I’m working from home and the fridge is literally right there.....) and the encouragement from everyone at meetings.

I’ve missed all these things, but for me it goes a little deeper
than that because as most of you probably know, I have MS.
And in doing all these things, it kept me mobile and as active as I can be, which is so important for my health.

I’ve wanted to fundraise for a while now, yet I wasn’t quite sure
how; but then I saw this challenge and I decided to combine the two.

So that’s my Mission 100 challenge.

For the whole of December, on every single day, I’m going to
attempt to do the Step aerobics exercise on my Wii Fit.

Now for those of you who know me, you’ll know that walking in a straight line is sometimes quite the challenge 🤣

Let alone stepping up and down and side to side on a raised Wii
Fit board for 20 minutes, for 31 days on the trot.

So wish me luck. And if you wish me luck enough to sponsor me too, then that would be even better!

Thanks folks.
