Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alstrom Syndrome is a rare genetic disease that causes numerous disabilities incl deafness, blindness, diabetes and many other symptoms.  Living with one disability can be tough but the people with AS & their families live with multiple disabilities plus ongoing uncertainty of how the condition will progress over time.

My company,  HearFirst already delivers the Alstrom Syndrome Awareness Training on behalf of the charity and although increased awareness can't change the condition we can improve understanding of the syndrome which leads to better support and easier lives.

Cycling 200 miles does not come naturally to me and I'm training hard in the hills of Lancashire - wish me luck - I'll need it and also a very BIG thank you for donating.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
