Since 2015 the frightening statistic has been that 1 in 2 people will have cancer. My family is no exception. Perhaps everyone who reads this will have their own experience of themselves or a loved one being diagnosed, and those lucky enough not to have suffered that shock will no doubt have been moved by the story of Dame Deborah James.

I want to do something, and this small thing is what I can do to try to raise some money. To get the ball rolling I have donated the cost of my family’s haircuts for the  next few months.
